Single-engine Piston Class Rating Instructor (SEP CRI)

 

Course is 3 hrs flying

30 PIC in class and 300 hrs total before starting course

(or a right-hand sortie with instructor if you have MEP CRI and 15 hrs PIC within the last 12 months)

25 hrs of teaching and learning instruction

10 hrs of technical training

 

Valid for 3 years

 

Revalidation: Within 12 months preceding the expiry:

            1. 10 hrs flight instruction (if SEP and MEP, then at least 5 hrs on each)

            2. Receive refresher trg at an ATO

            3. Pass the assessment of competence in accordance with FCL.935 (this must happen every alternate renewal)
