ATPL Theory
This page is for UK military pilots only
Padpilot are the industry leading ATPL theory eBooks. As a military pilot (FW to ATPL A or RW to ATPL H) you are exempt the 650hr course, but are still required to pass the ATPL theory exams.
We have secured discounted access to Padpilot for military personnel. The eBooks help you prepare for the exams.
Price:
-
ATPL (A) £439
-
ATPL (H) £529
The price above provides a 2-year subscription to Padpilot. These can be accessed online or downloaded, useful for when deployed.
In addition to the ATPL study course, you will also need to budget for the CAA ATPL theory exam fees at £68 each and the following exam materials:
-
CRP-5 £82.99 (BGS online shop)
-
GSPRM Jeppesen Student Route Manual £73.00 (BGS online shop)
We would also advise on purchasing a subscription to ATPLQ, which is an online question bank, with the most accurate CAA questions. UKFlying have 15% discount codes for ATPLQ.
If you want to attend crammer weeks, then we suggest you use Bristol Ground School (£2693) who offer this service.
UKFlying will then send you an invoice for the course and you should gain access within 24hrs.
Before you can sit any of the exams you will need to create a CAA portal account and complete a CAA SRG2133 form, signed by either a flying school or a Flt Cdr at SO2 level or above. This is called a M-EAT (military exemption). Once sent to the CAA, this will credit your portal account with the 650hr course, KSA-100 and allow you to book exams.
